Crappy weather!!

The weather just keeps getting crappier and crappier, when will this cold spell ever go away!!  I really need the global warming people to tell me where the heat went???  By Sunday the high is suppose to be -20 you’ve got to be kidding me!!

But I was still able to get to the gym tonight, it was a pretty simple night but I got there.  Spent 25 minutes on the treadmill and that was about it.  Thinking tomorrow will be my day off.  Weighed in at 219.2 lbs tonight and would really like to stay below 220 for good, thats my goal for now.

This cold Is sickening

Alright so I’m really getting sick and tired of this long COLD winter so far, Negative temperatures suck!!  Today was a fairly inactive day at work because of the cold though I did find I have a little bit of a mouse problem in my office.  The wife is sick and tired of being sick and tired of being pregnant, still no baby.

So this morning when I woke up and weighed myself I was pretty excited the scale had me at 217.4 lbs!! That is easily the lowest weight i’ve been in years so I’m really happy about that right now and makes me wanna keep doing what I’m doing!!!

For breakfast this morning I had a apple, then for a snack and lunch I had the 2 left over deer sausages from last night.  Then for afternoon snack I had another apple.  For supper we had popcorn chicken and french fries mmmm mmm good!  Then for my bedtime snack I had a orange!!!  So for the most part today I think I was pretty good in the food department!!

Got to the gym today and was able to get on the treadmill for 40 minutes tonight, i thought it was a pretty solid workout for the night.  I was able to get over 10,000 steps on my fitbit tonight so I was happy about that.  It says I walked 4.8 miles today which is a little short of what i’d like to do but its getting better.

And my weight before I head to bed tonight is 218.8 which is also the lowest i’ve had my weight before bed so that is really exciting for me!!  Time for BeD!!!

First Day of New Year

For the most part it was a pretty unproductive day, never helps when it is -14 degrees outside!!  The day was pretty much spent with the wife watching college football, one thing anyone who were to read this is I’m a big football fan.  I did get to the gym this evening though and was able to workout for about 50 minutes!!  I spent the whole time on the tread mill.

I just got a fitbit (love it) the first few days i’ve been just trying to get a average set up for steps, calories, distance walked, active minutes and sleep.  So i’ve set my goals light right away and will keep raising them right now.

I’ve had steps set at 10,000 and was little short tonight only getting 9600.

I’ve walked 4.75 miles today, i’ve got it set at 5 right now.

Very active minutes i have set for 30 minutes and got 49 minutes so ill have to move that up.

Food wise I sadly didn’t get breakfast this morning, for lunch i had three pieces of pizza (tombstone), for supper I had 1 deer sausage and green beans.  For snacks i had a apple and a couple oranges today.

For the most part I would say I had a pretty solid day!

The New Year!!! 2014!!

Starting this blog for the most part to go through my journey in trying to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle.  Just a little year in review of what 2013 brought me and what I hope for 2014 to bring.  Couple things about me my name is Matt, I’ve been married for about 2 and a half years and we our expecting our first child in the next ten day!!  So a lot will be changing for me in the next week or so.

2013

Early in 2013 i was up to 265 lbs at the age of 29 and decided it was time to make a change before it was to late.  One major thing I was able to do that I never thought I’d be able to do was give up soda for a year, as of right now I’m a week or so from going a year without any soda at all.  I now wanna keep it up and go another year with no soda!!  I also got a gym membership and have actively been trying to get to gym four to five days a week for at least 45 minutes.  Food wise I have been trying to keep portions to a minimum and eat healthier things for snacks such as apple and oranges. This has been a up and down deal for me but i’ve gotten better as the year went.  So as I stepped on the scale this morning to start the new year off I hit 218 lbs!!!

2014

What do I want to get out of the 2014 year??  I’d love to get under 200 lbs for the first time since i was in high school!!  I’d love to go another year without drinking any soda!!  Another one is for me to go through lent without having any alcohol!!  I just got a fitbit for christmas and I love it, I’m sure I’ll be putting goals I have for it in the future!!
